Hitchcock Farms is a recognized leader among California produce companies. Headquartered in the heart of the Salad Bowl of the World with the cool waters of the Monterey Bay as our backdrop. Our farms are seasonally located in the fertile Salinas Valley in the spring, summer and fall, then shift to the Imperial Valley of Southeastern California during the winter months.
In, 1989, the Hitchcock and Panziera families had a vision of growing and packing the highest quality vegetables for the produce industry. This vision came as a result of the heritage these families had created in the Salinas Valley of California dating back as early as the 1880’s. Hitchcock Farms has since engaged and partnered with growers that carry that same vision and family heritage. Ron and Ed Panziera have maintained their rich farming history in the Salinas Valley. Brothers Robert and Larry Fleming, as well as brother-in-law Roy Motter have continued their farming tradition in the Imperial Valley.
Today, Hitchcock Farms has carried these legacies and evolved into one of the leading growers and packers of fresh and innovative produce. Hitchcock Farms has been on the cutting edge and created many firsts in the produce industry. In 1994 the first to introduce romaine hearts to the food service industry, followed by the creation of Iceberg Babies™ in 2002. These firsts have the stamp of approval from chefs throughout the United States and Canada. To date, Hitchcock Farms has grown into one of the largest premium Brussels sprout shippers in the country.
