Grilled Napa Cabbage & Radicchio Salad

INGREDIENTS
1 napa cabbage heart, quartered lengthwise through the core
1 head radicchio, quartered lengthwise through the core
1 asian pear, sliced into matchsticks
1/4 c roasted almonds, coarsely chopped
1 T aged balsamic vinegar
1/4 t cumin
1 t kosher salt
olive oil
fresh ground pepper
Preparation:
Turn your grill on to medium high and allow it to heat up for about 5 minutes. Place the cabbage and radicchio on a sheet tray and drizzle lightly with olive oil. Brush grill grates with olive oil. Place cabbage and radicchio directly over flames and cook until charred on the outside but still crisp in the middle, about 2 minutes per side. Remove to sheet tray and set aside to cool. Once cabbage is cooled, chop it crosswise into thin slices. Place in a bowl and toss with asian pear and chopped almonds. Toss with balsamic vinegar, kosher salt, cumin, 1 T olive oil and fresh cracked pepper to taste.
