The story of Iceberg Babies®
In 2002, Jeff Hitchcock happened upon a few small heads of iceberg lettuce in a field. The thought of producing a softball sized head of iceberg lettuce on a consistent commercial scale piqued his interest. After three years of vigorous trials, he developed the proprietary seed necessary to produce Iceberg Babies® on a year round basis.
In 2005 we introduced Iceberg Babies® to the foodservice industry at the National Restaurant Association Show, to rave reviews. Our Babies have been a huge hit in the foodservice industry ever since! Today our Iceberg Babies® can be found in restaurants all across the U.S. and Canada.

1. is your baby iceberg lettuce AVAILABLE YEAR-ROUND?
Yes. We grow Iceberg Babies® in the Salinas Valley from spring through early winter and move production to the Imperial Valley from December through March. Rotating our produce operations allows us to cultivate, harvest and ship our premium baby iceberg lettuce all year.
