Leeks
leeks are related to garlic and onions, containing many of the same beneficial compounds.
Used primarily for flavor in soups and other dishes, the plant can also be eaten raw. Boiling will soften the leeks and yield a milder flavor.
The leek has been a symbol of Wales throughout history, with Shakespeare even mentioning the vegetable in his play, Henry V, calling the Welsh practice of wearing a leek an “ancient tradition.” We think that eating leeks is preferable to wearing them!
Our leeks are quickly cooled by means of liquid ice, which is injected into the cartons at our state-of-the-art cooling facility.
