A favorite in Caesar salads, romaine lettuce is a crisp salad green with high nutritional value. There are two type of romaine – self-closing and open varieties. The self-closing variety is used to grow romaine hearts, while the open variety is the more common, leafier variety.
Our romaine is promptly cooled in our vacuum cooling tubes at our cooling facility. This process takes out the field heat, ensuring quality and good shelf life for the product.
